do you think we should move on with guilt and remorse for the lifetime ?
dont we have to be so-called patriots ?
in simple words is to, WAKE UP and try see this country from the real sight. the static life needs to bounce back from the age of darkness and destruction. this topic goes in one direction and purely one direction.
the intent here is to show people and to invoke the IDEA of ECO-FRIENDLY TOURISM and ADVENTURE in the Valley of SWAT.
to mention not what KPK has gone through and still is going through like the whole country , especially Karachi, we need a stand against all this to make things better.
TOURISM in pakistan is important in many ways , as most of you would understand this better. generating revenue and bringing PEACE and making this country a better place to live.
i remember one thing in poetry which fits the scene very much,
" breathes there a man with a soul so dead,
he never to himself hath said,
this is my own , my native land "
Swat is a valley of endless dreams. one must not forget what they had gone through. i went to Swat in the days when there was fear among the people living even in Swat too about the presence of militancy, but i saw nothing but normal life with some guilt OFCOURSE on the faces of their people not being bragged and dragged by terrorism or anything but the huge FLOOD of 2010. they needed to rebuild the infrastructure , they eagerly wanted "NOT THE LOCAL TOURISTS, BUT THE FOREIGNERS ", they told me stories that how they lived in those areas happily. after my visit with my friend iftikhar alvi from lahore, there what i thought would be a huge applause for bringing back ADVENTURE in the lost lands of AWESOMENESS , but questioned being were raised ...!
questions were (by the media people):
"how DARE you went into that land when there are talibans up there?"
"i dont agree to or believe on those pics shared by you on facebook or flickr, they must be old and you are trying to reach people to show them only photography".
"you are living in the fool's paradise ... this cannot happen anyways" ~ asked and told by an american pakistani .
after making them realize and believe in what they actually saw, they were under doubts instead of praising the efforts.
this is where we live and this is where our main problem begins :(
i am not referring to myself or my efforts solely, but something must be done in order to get crowds
